Position Summary:

You will work closely with our data analytics team, supporting various data-driven projects, delivery of financial reporting and other key initiatives wile learning about the insurance industry. We will provide comprehensive training and hands-on experience to support your career as a Finance Analyst.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1- Collaborate with the data analytics team to gather requirements and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.

2- Assist in data collection, cleansing, transformation, and preparation to ensure accurate and reliable data for analysis.

3- Analyse complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive informed business decisions.

4- Develop data visualisations and reports that effectively communicate key findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

5- Collaborate with cross-financial teams to understand business needs and translate them into actionable data-driven solutions.

6- Assist in the maintenance and optimisation of existing Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring data integrity and performance.

7- Support the development and implementation of data governance and data quality standards.

8- Stay updated with the latest Power BI features, functionalities, and best practices, and recommend innovative approaches for data visualisation and analysis.

9- Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to ensure seamless data integration and connectivity between various systems and sources.

Key Performance Indicators:

1- Timely and accurate delivery of interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.

2- Ability to identify valuable insights and provide data-driven recommendations for business improvements.

3- Effectiveness of data visualisations in conveying information and supporting decision-making.

4- Successful completion of the apprenticeship programme (if joining via this route)

5- Contribution to data governance initiatives and adherence to data quality standards.

6- Collaborative engagement with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Key Relationships:

1- Group Financial Controller: Collaborate closely with Finance Team to align data analysis efforts with business objectives.

2- Financial Analyst: Work collaboratively with the Financial Analyst to support various data-driven projects and initiatives.

3-Business Stakeholders: Engage with stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide data-driven solutions.

Qualifications/Key Skills Required:

1- Strong interest in data analysis and eagerness to learn and grow in the field.

2- Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI and understanding of data visualisation best practices.

3- Solid understanding of data concepts, including data cleansing, transformation, and data modelling.

4- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and analyse complex datasets.

5- Proficient in SQL and experience with querying and manipulating data.

6- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

7- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

8- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.


1- A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English.

2- A-Levels (or equivalent) in Mathematics, computer science, business intelligence, or Power BI is a plus but not required.

Salary: Based on experience (including regular incremental increases based on progress through Apprenticeship Scheme)

Hours: Mon-Fri- 9.00am to 5.00pm with an hour for lunch.

Holidays: 25 days holidays plus 8 bank holidays (increases to 28 days after 5 years’ service and 30 days after 10 years’ service)

Income Protection: 75% of annual salary (paid after 6 months) for up to 5 years.

Life Insurance: 4 X Annual salary.
