Position Title: DR&P Group Enterprise Risk Management Contractor (FTC – 6 months)
Reports To: DR&P Risk and Compliance Director, with functional reporting line to the Group Head of Risk
Location: Leeds / Southport & Hybrid
Summary of Position:
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) professional to lead the implementation of the Group ERM Framework into the David Roberts & Partners Group Limited (DR&P), a member of the BMS group. This is a critical transitional role to ensure the consistent application of group-wide risk standards, tools, and governance within the newly integrated business.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Lead the integration and implementation of the BMS Group Enterprise Risk Management Framework within DR&P.
- Deliver the agreed implementation plan.
- Establish and embed core risk processes to a BaU standard, including:
- Risk Identification and Assessment
- Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs)
- Risk Event / Incident Reporting
- Risk Registers and Dashboards
- Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
- Utilise the risk management system to support the roll out of the ERM framework and ensure appropriate system training for all risk, control, KRI and action owners is delivered.
- Engage and train senior leaders / risk owners and first-line stakeholders to embed a risk-aware culture and support their role as risk owners.
- Support the development of regular risk reporting for senior management and the DR&P Risk & Compliance Committee, aligning with Group standards.
- Provide handover of BaU risk process to relevant DR&P second line risk resource.
- Provide regular progress updates to both the DR&P Risk & Compliance Director and the BMS Group Head of Risk
Functional & Behavioural Competencies required:
- Strong knowledge of risk management best practice and emerging risk management developments within financial services; international risk management experience desirable.
- Proven experience of developing and maintaining effective working relationships on risk matters with regulators.
- Experience of operating effectively at senior management level and of influencing Board/senior management and other stakeholders.
- Sound understanding of regulation and legislation requirements.
- Excellent IT skills and ability to pick up new systems quickly.
- Analytical; problem solving capabilities with strong attention to detail.
- Forward thinker and planner; proactive and uses initiative.
- Adapts and responses well to change and pressure.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Communicates clearly; effectively interacts with others.
